big dander/dandruff during molt?

Hi everybody

is it normal for a hen to shed a lot of flaky dander during a molt? seems kind of big too, not huge, but not like litte dust like it usually is.

I too have noticed more dander with my hen in molt.

Yea totally normal

The skin no longer has all those nice warm feathers to hold in moisture to her her skin. So it dries and flakes. I always smear lotion on my hens when they go into molt. But it's totally normal and nothing to worry about
