Big ducks vs small ducks

One more duck question. Do you think a large duck like a Rouen is any more or less able to get away from predators? Are the big ducks slower? They will be on a 1 1/2 acre pond and I want to make sure they will have a fighting chance if one of the neighbors dogs gets curious. Are large ducks more susceptible to predators than smaller ducks. I also have hawks in the area to be concerned about.

I think a smaller more slender and fast duck could escape a predator faster. The bigger fatter ducks tend to be slower and usually can't fly because of their weight.

Thanks for the link. I LOVE the raft idea. I would think a raft to sleep on , even at night ,would be fairly safe.
