Hi i am wondering if my chicks who are quickly outgrowing there space at approximately 3 weeks old are big enough to go out to the coop?
I dont want to have to buy yet another box to put them in if there big enough to go outside full time. i live in mt and the weather is kinda random but for the most part its been upper 50s to mid 60s and lows at 40s maybe 30s . They are mostly feathered except for their heads. ill include pics.

If the coop and run are predator proof, put them put.
Give them a huddle box. Make it like a cave with lots of bedding in it and protect if from an draft getting in.
You can aim a well secured heat lamp with a ceramic bulb in it across the opening to the box if it's going to get too cold (below 40). Or even a heat pad under the bedding will do. Turn it off in the morning.

Can you hang with them for 1 more week?
After that set a huddle box with a decent amount of bedding in your coop "i use a cat carrier".
They'll sleep and stay plenty warm in there by then.
Best part, they'll start roosting as soon as the box is too warm.:)

If you have all that set up then they're good to go.
A few nights before you boot them out move them to the coolest room you have so they can acclimate.:)
They have a heat source out in the coop that is a flat heater. and it has bedding in it . It is predator proof it has a run approx 5 ft tall by 4 feet 5 feet long and is buried all around .
