BIG FAT HUGE MONSTER SILKIES

Well, I think the title says it all ! Has anyone ever tried to create such a thing ? I think I'm going to make that one of my projects this summer. I use setting hen for all of my hatching and think a really large silkie would be cool. I do want them to look like a silkie when I'm done. How should I start and has anyone out there ever done this before? What breed should I use to mix with the silkies to get started ? Does anyone have pictures ??

I think there are a few people trying to develop a standard size silkie . I think in the UK there already is . I might be wrong though

I think somebody already started with cochin and orpington x silkie...

They have them in the UK and a few breeders in the US are working on them. You can start by crossing a silkie male with LF cochin females and go from there.
