Big Hen Little Roo

They try. Unless the larger girls shun them as beneath them (too lowly). I didn't notice many fertilized eggs whilst I had my flock like this. My Black Australorps didn't seem to mind a smaller roo. But my Buff Orpingtons really got livid.

I have two Bantam roos and all but one of my girls seem to ignore them..I have one of them that like them she a cross between a SLW hen & RSL roo and they seem to like her too. They feed her and coo but as for the others naah they all have eyes only for my SLW roo

My very small OEGB get his roo on with my NH Reds all the time....never comes close to making contact where it counts but really funny to watch. Some of the girls squat for him and some just walk around going about their business like hes not even there. Kinda feel bad for the little guy lol I'm not expecting any strange combos at hatch time...mostly just a mess on their backs.
