Big mouse litter! *New pics, page 13*

when i had to feed pinkies, i was panicking trying to figure out how to feed them and not drown them, then I thought a capillary tube would work... and made my husband run out and buy a new can of WD40 so I could use the small red tube.
I hope she can handle it all...but just in case... get that WD4O shopping list ready...
or do they make really small mouse bottles?

Omg! How cute!

When you feed them..you can judge how much to feed by their bellies.. (because you dont want to overfeed... it will kill them)
When they get full enough a white "band" shows under their skin where their belly is at .... (it dosent take much formula...just drops...)
i used a sponge to feed my baby mouse that i found... he wouldnt drink from a nipple or anything....
so i dipped a NEW, clean sponge corner in his milk and he latched right on....
he did very well..

I will be sure to keep updates & pictures coming

All of them have milk bands and seem to being well.
I've had to hand rise a few litters of rats, so I already have everything I need if she cant handle the whole litter, but so far she is doing great.

I hope you'll update as they grow! It's so neat to see the colors start showing and them start acting like big mice!

I had some when I was a kid, I had two litters, one was 9 and the other was 14, and if I remember right all survived, even the one I found my cat carrying around in his mouth.

They are just tooo cute, I LOVE to see them grow, so please keep us posted with lots of pictures. I have never owned a mouse but the SPCA has one here for adoption and I keep looking at him thinking, would DH really mind if I got him!? lol I have one of those wire cages with levels but it has a plastic base (think bird cage with levels in it) I always used aquariums for our hamsters and of course we have wire Martins cages for the rats (we are TRYING to get a critter nation double when our tax refund comes)

i love pet mice... used to raise them... my favorite was named Rodeo because the day we bought him I peaked in the box in the car and he jumped out..I got out of the car to look under th seat and my kids started laughing because he was on my back...
