Big old hen with a big old poopy butt

My elderly lady has a big old poopy butt. Always. I catch her and wash her off, but the next day it is back. I had to work these past few days, so I did not have time to chase her and wash her and she had a massive poopy butt- like a tennis ball hanging there. Not ON her vent, but under, on her butt feathers. She has not layed in ages, she is obviously old. All my other ladies are fine. Very well groomed, in fact.

Time to send her to the big henhouse in the sky? Yes or no?

Give her butt a trim and see if that helps. I have to do that to one of our cochins. Might want to put a little olive oil in her diet once in awhile too.
