Ok, ok....this should be my last gender indentification post for my 5 chicks. Hopefully

. Anyways, this is Big Red. The last of my chicks that has me suspicous. Her comb is larger than my other 2 RIRs....not huge, but not the same size as my others. Her comb is mostly yellow in color....lighter than my other chicks, actually. Unless excited, it stays yellow....even when excited it's not a very dark red. (Just a tint) Personality? A little shy...but will jump into my lap. She isn't the highest in the pecking order, and she's relatively peaceful....unless another chick puffs up at her, she'll copy but will back down in 2 seconds. She was fast to feather out, she has girlish feathers, and he saddles are round. Her legs are a tad large....but everything else screams pullet. I just want a second opinion

Well, I vote pullet.

No long tail feathers, no pointy saddle feathers or hackle feathers, sweet face - that is the give away for me. The sweet face. Roos have a different look on their faces.

Looks like a hen to me.

Any way you could resize your pics when you upload? Please? They always make my eyes hurt!

I think yours looks girly too. I have 3 RIR chicks and one is way bigger than the others. Huge legs, larger comb and all. I think she is just a big pretty girl by the way she acts and her comb isn't getting real red either. We named her Reba (DD says her coloring reminds her of Reba McIntire's hair LOL).

Yes, pullet. But if she crows later on down the road then I say roo. LOL - I don't think you need to worry about this one.
