*big Suprise This Morning*

My mom gave me 2 ducks over the summer and told me they were drakes and I have never had ducks before so I didn't know any different. Well about a month ago I saw them on top of each other and I called mom and told her she gave me some confused ducks. They are just some interesting pets for us we named them Donald and Daffy.

SOOO. This morning I was out in the chicken/duck pen cleaning, feeding, and watering and when I got down into the duck box to clean it I found eggs. 6 of them from a small size of a chicken egg up to the full duck size. I was so happy! This spring I will let her hatch out her babies until then YUM YUM. I had to change her name to Dafny.

Watch her, cuz alot of ducks (all the ones I have ever had) will feign broody then leave the eggs to die.

I know that is how my Mom ended up with Chuck the duck. A duck hatched by a chicken and thinks he is a chicken!

One has the curly tail but I am not sure what breed they are they are all white and very common I see them around here a lot.

Pekin, then? They're funny ducks. I have some Pekin crosses and they put out eggs like no tomorrow. I love ducks!

The one with the curl on his tail is a male. That is his drake feather. You will probably have fertile eggs then to be able to let them hatch.
