Came in from looking for a Christmas Tree and I hear peeping loud from my bator. Oh NO, Sitting in the turner is a little silkie chick in the bottom half of the eggshell. I quickly got the hatcher warmed up. I don't know how I did that. I have eggs due to hatch on the 28th. It has a great big ole topknot. Very nice chick. I would take pics but my batteries are dead in my Camera and i have got to get some tomorrow.

Thanks. I hope this little cutie doesn't get to lonesome till the next group hatches in four days. I may have to get a friend out of another brooder box that is a week older to keep company. I will try to take a pic later today when I go to town and get some more batteries.

Well another big surprise tonite. Another hatched in the bator, in the turner. I have really messed up somewhere. This is the first time I didn't write a chart down. I looked and listened earlier this afternoon and nothing and then out pops another. Well my cone head wont' be lonesome anymore although I already brought in a buddy. The first one is so cute. Eating and drinking well. I can tell it will have a great personality. Struts and wants you to talk and pick it up. Looks like I might just have to keep this one even if I don't need another blue. I am going to put the rest of that batch in the hatcher tonite as it is in my mind day 18. See what happens. First i have got to let the newest surprise dry a llittle

Farmer Kitty, that little chick hopping up and down in the egg is so cute. That is just what it looked like in the bator.
