Hello, Back about the beginning of June, A neighbor offered me a dozen chicks, said she ordered an egglayers variety from some hatchery and had no idea what breeds were in the mix. I took the chicks and gave them to another friend, but kept one.
The slip listed the breeds in abbreviations and there were 4 varieties, 3pr, 3rs, 3bs, 3wlh...I am thinking i kept what was a white leghorn..I think she is too big to be a leghorn, she doesnt look like one and i am to new to know for sure.
So what do you think, She is a cool ball of fluff and bigger than my EO,s and Rhodebars,,,Thanks John

She's a White Rock. Could be the hatchery slipped up and thought she was a Leghorn, they look identical as chicks.

You have got White Rock there! YAY

Thanks Everyone..!!
I gotta tell you, she has one of the funniest personalities...she is a little trickster
She shares a coop with thirteen EO,s They are all incredibly friendly and love interaction with people.. when you go to the coop and open the door, she literally will go right over the top
of all the others to get to you. She has to be right in your face or under your feet...but dont try to pick her up, thats a differant story,She takes off running. You have to trick her to pick her
up, but once you do, she will sit right there in your arms and chats to you.
Because of predators we only let the birds out for a few hours at nite....you sit on the steps, she,ll be right on your lap...were grilling on the back deck, she,ll be right there underfoot,, checking
out everything we are doing...just like the dog,, and thinking everything you have in your hand is a treat for her.
Now if i can just get her to start laying!!
