The other idea is during the time of the natives, and they lived in north America for 20,000 years, they never killed their mentally disabled, but sent them out into the wilderness. Over that many years, they could have formed bands, (like the "un-housed" people do.)

Or they could have been people with hypertrichosis

Who would have also been sent away from the tribes.

Feet get big from walking with out shoes, people seeing someone hairy get scared, bigfoot in trying to scare someone makes himself look bigger, people crouch when scared, so bigfoot also looks bigger.

I have gone barefoot most of my life. My feet haven't really gotten bigger. Sure, they're wider than most people's feet, but they aren't abnormally large.

@gimmie birdies, I'm just curious what you think of this story. (I have not tracked this story down and confirmed the source, so we'll have to just assume it is true.) I heard a story about someone seeing a bigfoot carrying a glowing orb. The bigfoot disappeared into the trees with it and then a few moments later the person saw a beam of golden light go up from that spot into the sky and meet up with a bright red object in the night sky.

I am genuinely curious what you think of how this would fit in with UFOs studying bigfoot? I like hearing all the different sides.

This is interesting, one time I had a dream about seeing a UFO, and in the dream I was in a town called Yellow Knife. The next day I went to a second hand store, and found a parka that was made in Yellow Knife Canada. I looked it up on the computer, and one of the things I found was there was a ufo sighting there.
