biggest chicken in the frezer at 8 weeks??

My 50 came from Welp. Boy did they eat! I recieved them April 2 and butchered on May 30. The weather was wet and cool the whole time, I think we had 2 days over 65.

got mine from Mt. Healthy. Ordered 50 and processed 47, had about 18 roos out of the bunch, the average weight was 5.75 pounds. I will use them again that is for sure!

Interesting on the different weights.

I got my cornish x from TSC. I don't know where they got them from but the were good chicks.

Butchered at 7 weeks, my biggest was 7 lbs 5 oz. My smallest 4 lbs 10 oz. Most roos were 6 + lbs and the hens 5 + lbs.

I ordered 15 CXs through Ideal Hatchery. 2 died before butchering (smother and a heart attack). Out of the 13 left (7 hens, 6 roos) the largest was 7.11lbs and 4.48lbs was the smallest. I was more than happy and will be raising more in the fall. It'll be interesting to see if what another poster said about fall vs spring chickens holds true for mine
