Biggest Fishing Fail Ever (or win)

Everybody tell me about your biggest fishing fails ever (or win)


My biggest fail was catching a fish and set it on the land like a couple of inches away from the water and it flopped its way back in. FAIL


My win was catching a two foot large mouth bass. WIN

My DS is 11 and about 2 weeks ago he caught a 32 inch 25lb black Drum on a Zebco 808 with 12lb line.

I can't remember any of my fails at the moment.

But I can remember my cousin's

. She hooked a fish in the EYE once.

How did that happen? I honastly, have no idea...

This has got to be both a FAIL and WIN

Was fishing at a private lake one day and I was around the corner with a castnet trying to get small bluegill for bass bait. On the other side of the bush was our carp poles. My mom was down the bank a little ways and my father went up to go to the bathroom. All of a sudden I hear SPLASH! I went around the bush and my mom was looking at me. I asked her "What made that splash?" of course she thought it was me and I look over and one of the poles was GONE. By that time my father was back out and he started reeling in the pole that was on the other side cussing as he was reeling to see if he could snag the other pole. Something was on the end but we didn't know what it was but then we seen the tip of the lost pole! We were litterally

. Slowly but surely we got the pole in to were I could wade out and get it and the fish was still on!

Ended up being about a 10lb common carp

Needless to say it was an interesting day! We've had this happen a couple of times but we got the pole before it was gone.

In Charleston once, I somehow hooked a baitfish through an eye. Which had been replaced by shrimp. That could be a fail, or it could be a sadistic win.

one time i caught a bunch of fish eggs on some kelp. Needless to say, I caught the most fish out of anyone else.

My hubby had his fail and win in the same trip, he caught like 40 crappie and two were huge. Then he realizedhe forgot to sign up for the local contest. He stopped by the bait and tackle to see what was going on and show them his fish, they informed him that everybody was catching much smaller fish and had he entered he would surely have won.
