uuummm... not if you do it yourself....
open a bag of grain in garage and wait... cow walks in, close door..
dig a hole. dump the hide and guts in it.. give your dogs the horns to chew on.. hang carcass in garage,, cut up, put freezer bags..
one long hard day of work,, eating free beef for a year!!!!!!
poor lost cow had no home.....
hahahahahahahaha
but on a serious note... if they are damaging your stuff/yard.. GET PICTURES .. find out who the owner is and sue for damages.. tell him to control his dang cows
time for an update the land is not free range land any more the rancher is an old grumpy guy that wnts the city to buy him out. he has been cited and he is going to fight the ticket so he has some sort of court date and if he pleads not guilty we all go to court and I have pics of the cows eating the lawn pooping on the lawn peeing on the lawn eating the hay all the cow poop on the grass and all dameges
I just wish the butcher did'nt ask to see brand inspections[sp]
eta. gargageis not cleaned out the freezers are all full of litle ceasr pizza kits that I need to delivery for 4-h found raiser and we have no Idea how to do it
I say pasture off part of your property and keep 'em. Charge $7(going rate around here) a day for feed and care. Call law enforcement and tell them you are scared to leave your house. Put an add on Craig's list and sell them for the going rate. Shoot the bloody things and claim you felt threatened. Heck give them away, don't ask for a name or look at license plates (plausible deny ability!). I'd say 99% of all cattle are not branded, most processors just care if the cow is not obviously sick or injured. Many small processors will come get the cow and return it in boxes.
Seriously, cows can be dangerous even deadly, you need to do something about this.

love the Idea . Do butchers normaly ask to see brand inspections[sp]
My aunt and uncle raise cows for their own use.. They dont brand theirs.. And they take theirs to the butcher.. Most all of their cows were born on their property. So there isnt even a reciept of purchase for them.. I dont think all butchers look.. But I bet if the cow already had a brand, then you would most likely not be able to get it butchered..
