Guys guys. I have to post this because I am so proud of myself at the moment... We have had our chickens in the small prefab coop for a couple of months and they grew out of it, so I got hold of a free second hand bike shed.

Tadaaaaaaaaaah:

I'll post more pics tomorrow as I am pretty much dead atm.
What I managed so far was to put the shed together, attach a roof, make roosts, sliding door, chop off the nesting box from the old coop and put it onto the new one. All in 6 hours of work :D
Tomorrow is the run building day. Wish us luck. Has anyone ever asked IKEA to make a coop line?
Any thoughts on improving this?

Windows and ventilation. The coop should have ventilation at least = to 10% of the s.f. of the coop or 1 s.f./bird, which ever number is greater. I'd also put a larger roof overhang on it. Good repurposing!
The roof is corrugated clear plastic so there is like 20 10x10cm holes.

The overall structure looks good but I agree on ventilation. Without some overhang I would do a large window or two to provide both air and light. Also make sure you have the existing roof vents covered with some wire mesh to keep rodents out.
