I see gucky yellowish stuff oozing out a little next to its bill. I am devastated!! How could i avoid this from happening in the future??? Ugh!! :hit

So sorry. I had success and failures all in the same hatch so not sure If I could have for perfect conditions for every egg.

Sounds like too much moisture in the egg still. Air cell wasn't big enough and it drowned..Possibly your humidity was too high.
Thank you for your insight. Would you say too high during incubation or too high during lock down? Incubation i held it at 55% then up to 75% at lockdown.

Too high during incubation I'm thinking. I'll run at 35% humidity a few days to get air cells bigger and moisture loss.
This is why it's so confusing and upsetting for those of us new to it as everywhere I read it said 50/6O for incubation. The I dug further and found recommendations for lower. 4 weeks ago my incubator happily ran at 35-40 without water. Due to temp change it's running 55. No vents in this model so I'm propping it open with a cocktail stick which is keeping it about 35-38. What do you reckon I should attempt for lockdown. If it stays like this it'll go 55-60 just being fully closed I think. Other than that I have to pfaff around adding dribbles.

But also you said hold at 35 a few days, how many days?

Lockdown I keep it at 60% humidity...
