Bill blocked pip hole! How to avoid this in the future??

Too high during incubation I'm thinking. I'll run at 35% humidity a few days to get air cells bigger and moisture loss.
Thank you. Great feedback. How long for 35% and do you graduate to 40 then 50 then lockdown you turn if up? Curious as to your in between the initial humidity and the lockdown. Thanks again!

Well the week before lockdown I Candle my eggs ..I hatch Calls and chicken eggs. If air cells are too small I drop humidity from 40% down to as low as 35% till I see larger air cells. Then back to 40%..Different times of the year dictate my humidity level. Really no specific settings but many tricks to learn as you learn your incubator and what to look for as incubation progresses. I always Lockdown at 60% humidity.

Wonderful!! Thank you so much and makes total sense. Boy do i have a ton to learn. :caf

Till you see a change it the air cells. Definitely need to have moisture loss or they drown during internal pip or when externally pipped. Plus yolk needs to be absorbed
This makes sense. Looking back at what went wrong i can see clearly now the rain is gone...lol..but in all seriousness thanks a mi!!l

No this was one that I didn't suspect anything to go wrong with it. Thank you so much for the hugs...i am learning so much for you all and this journey has only just begun hugs back! :hugs
:hugs I think the hardest part about hatching is figuring out what temp and humidity work best for you, your incubator, and the types of eggs you hatch. When you decide to hatch again, you might find this article by @WVduckchick helpful.
