We went out of town for a night and had arranged with a friend to have her close the coop door at that night and open it the next morning. Our coop is inside another building and we have a pulley on the pop door to open and close it. We called to check in with her last night to see how things went. She said all was well but our chickens did not have the big combs like the chickens she saw at the petting zoo earlier that day....PANIC!! The chickens at the petting zoo are in a enclosed pen so it is look but no touch. Unfortunately she did walk through the barn so we are worried about contamination on her shoes. She would have not been in our coop but in the shed to operate the pulley system. We want to decontaminate the floor area around the outside of the coop as a precaution. What should we use as a cleaner???

Bleach will kill germs but for cocci I have read ammonia works. Don't ever mix bleach with ammonia (lethal gas forms).

So if it were me I'd just spray the floor with some bleach solution. Next day after it is dry I'd come back with some ammonia and spray it.

You would need to ensure that these fumes wouldn't be settling inside the coop for the chickens to breathe. If that is the case then I'd personally not do anything at all- because those fumes would be so bad for them (and make sure you don't breathe the fumes either!!).

Just my opinion.
