I am in the process of rehoming a silkie rooster that I don't want anymore. I have someone interested in him - but she wants to look him over first - understandably. However, how do I prevent her from bringing something onto my property? She wants to come to our place and I am reluctant to do so. What would you do?

Yeah - I think she'd take him right away if she likes him - they're coming from a distance. They are newbie chicken owners and I would hate to get some illness coming onto our property on their shoes, clothes, hands etc.

Ask them to stay in the driveway, sanitize their hands and bring the silkie to them.

If you explain what and why, they should be fine with the precautions.
Yep, this^^^^ I would put bird in a crate and have it ready in driveway or away form your flock.

If she's concerned about his behavior when running around, can you send videos? If she could come on your property at all, she should be wearing different clothes and shoes, etc.
I've met people in store parking lots with my sale birds, safer all around, and that's what I'd recommend.
Wear a face mask, and have your santizer with you! You could take the bird in a ventilated cardboard box, or transfer him to her crate from yours.

Thanks for your input folks! I have set it up to meet at the roadside of our property so they won't be anywhere near my other birds and will take the bird to them. Good idea about the hand sanitizer first too...
