Bird caught by sticky flytrap cylinder

Unfortunately I heard a ruckus in the coop and one of the pullets had a sticky flytrap stuck to her underside and was rightly freaking out.

It is incredibly gooey and sticky, so no feathers were lost when it came off thankfully

I gave her a good dusting of de to reduce further sticking, what else should I do? Other than never putting it in a place that it could fall down again.

It just happened now, but whats the worst that could happen? At what point should I consider plucking out the feathers?

If you have it and your hen is not too flighty you might consider goo be gone. (Unless someone can say it is especially harmful to chickens.) I would cut out the largest chunks, use the goo be gone, and then wash the area with a gentile soap. I have never used it on my birds before but I think that the stuff is lower on the toxicity side. Pam, or vegetable oil might work....I don't think it would be toxic.
