The Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy will be hosting Bird Fest - A Celebration of Aviculture on July 27th from 10am to 4pm here in Litchfield, Connecticut. The event is FREE and open to the public!
Bird Fest will be a fun and educational event intended to introduce attendees to the diversity of birds found in aviculture, while providing learning opportunities to those already involved in bird keeping. The event will also be a great way for the Northeast’s bird keepers and fanciers of all types to meet and get to know each other! The day's agenda includes presentations by bird experts on keeping a variety of different types of birds. Speakers will be using the Conservancy's classroom, which includes powerpoint capability and seating for 30 people (get here early to ensure you get a seat!).
For those interested in waterfowl, the Conservancy's collection is the largest and most diverse in the Northeast! During the event the Conservancy’s grounds will be open for attendees to enjoy the waterfowl collection while learning how we keep our birds.
