BIRD FLU 2022

Typical 2 car garage. 7 chickens and 3 ducks. We’ve had them all in there before with multiple octagon baby pens when there was extremely cold weather last year but that was only for about 4 days.
Yeah, I don't know. Safe to say it's more than I would do.

I actually read an online article a few days ago that said keeping your birds inside may not make that much difference...considering the commercial farms that certainly do keep their birds inside...and look what's happening. It's just so scary bur really regardless of how careful you are...or not...I think it's the luck of the draw. We have thousands of backyard flocks in Ohio and locally I know of quite a few who aren't taking any precautions. So there it is.

Bird flu made it onto the NBC evening news. They stressed that it is HIGHLY unlikely to spread to humans. They also said it is likely to increase the cost of chicken and eggs at the store.
