I am not sure if this is the right forum for this but here goes anyways. I once read a post on here about "be careful what you post, because the person reading it might misconstrue it". That has been the most truest statement I ever heard.

I have been a chatter online for over 10 years, one of the things I advocate is, because this is text talk it is hard to know what the author is feeling when they say it. I personally take most posts as benign. However, I do know that loads of peoples use smilies to show their feelings at one point or another. I do not use smilies much I never have. We didn't have any when I was learning to chat and they only became popular in the last couple of years. So with that in mind you can say I learned to chat before smilies and just don't use them much. I have to "make" myself look up from what I am typing to put it in. That makes me lose my train of thought and then I lose the flavor of what I am trying to say.

I notice that people are concerned with a lot of things these days and one of them is getting the wrong information and then later feeling stupid. It happens to everyone. I regularly feel dumb. I don't always tell anyone (I don't think a lot of people do) how dumb I feel, but I strive to be as honest as I can.

I am not here to try and defend anything I may have said on this site. I don't have to because I don't see the point in lying or misleading anyone. People are capable of misleading their own selves by them selves they don't need me. Many people are consumed about knowing all there is to know about birds, or at least their favorite bird. But you have to remember that Birds like other animals are on going and ever changing like we are and I don't think the experts know all there is to know about US either.

I have seen people complain on ezbyc about being cheated or what have you from this sale or that sale because the breeder or seller didn't tell him the hatch would be this or that. I have seen total character assasinations on the other board even though they try to halt the damage. It's too late and the member leaves, with what they know. Some of the best breeders of pure bred birds never come to a forum like this, and the person that left could have all that knowledge. You don't want to lose those contacts.

NO one is perfect in their knowledge. I have gotten lots of information from people who just flat out know better than the so-called experts. People who have raised birds for over 30 years and more. The scientists can't give you more info than these people can. So even if you want to know all there is to know about birds it just isn't possible.

All I am asking is be sure that the information you have is the best you can get and do a proper question and answer post on the correct forum, because the persons position your disrupting could be final. That person could have information you need to save your flock. Or they may be the last person on the forum who would truely never lie. Sometimes some questions should just be emailed to that person.

Ya just never know the damage you can cause by not being careful what you type.

Arklady :)
