I'm posting this for a friend of mine -
Something got into her yard yesterday (maybe a dog?) and injured one of her birds pretty badly. Two birds are currently missing - my fingers are crossed that they were just scared off and need to find their way home.
Anyway, I went over to her house last night to help her get her bird cleaned up. She's missing quite a large swath of skin from the middle of her back, down under her wing. There is a bit of skin that's not completely detached, hanging down.
It looks like her muscles are intact - just the skin has been peeled off of them. The gal was looking pretty good, aside from her injury. She drank a little bit of water and we disinfected the wound with iodine last night. Today she's been covered in Blu Kote and is out with the other girls, but segregated. She seems to have a bit of a limp, as well.

Have we done everything we can and should? Is it a wait and see from here? Any advice would be so appreciated.
