bird seed for quail

can i feed my quail only wild bird seed they are just for pets not hunting or meat,will they be healthy,will they still lay eggs

NO. You can sustain life with wild birdseed for a while but their will consequences. Quail as most wild birds need protein. So unless your birdseed has a protein % of 25 or more you can's sustain a healthy bird. If you were to only give them wild bird seed there would not be enough nutrients to help them produce eggs or be healthy. Short term yes. Long term no.
