Bird Seed

Got a 25 pound sack of "Wild Bird Seed" that my sister in law bought at wallyworld.
Anything in there that would hurt my big girls?

No that will be fine to feed. I bought a whole pallet of bird seed during the summer as our local Big Lots discount were selling 50lb bags for 4.00 each.

Wild bird seed is highly variable in nutritional content.

I believe that's because no one's livelihood rests on the quality of feed for wild birds in their backyards.

A friend gave me some bags of bird seed once. I figured the pigeons were birds and their usual feed looked a lot like what was in the bags. They became more and more unhealthy the longer they were eating that stuff.

Just a word of caution . . .

I add wild bird seed to my girls morning treats of oats, unhulled sunflower seeds and scratch. They love it.
