Bird Square Footage Requirement

You have great carpentry skills - lucky you, lucky chickens!

Keep in mind I am very much a newbie and have no business giving anyone advice but the first thing that popped into my head is, you may want to consider adding your roo in the spring. I would be concerned that your hens would have no way to escape the roo's attentions if they needed to... Anyone who knows more than I do (which would be just about everyone on BYC...lol...feel free to jump in and contradict me if I am wrong...)
The overly tuned Rooster ,could be a problem, but a lot of breeders use cages apparently with Bantams, we shall find out.
I decided to use some old"barn board" channel tongue and groove stuff, give it the OleTyme Hen House look. Here is a pic, will finish more tomorrow. I just came in, it's dark here, and got real cold quick, down to like 30f..

Just wondering, this little coop cage, I am not finished yet, need to finish cladding walls, and put something for a roof, either metal or cedar siding or something. The whole thing will go on legs, and be up off the ground.
Is this thing a viable option for 4 banties from spring till fall, I am going to replace chicken wire with heavier wire too.
Looking at what I created, it's a little big for inside my shop, gonna be a tight fit, if I end up using it.....

It's big enough for more then 4.
