Pheasants need a lot of space.
100 sqft isn't much....10' x 10'.
Maybe quail?

I plan on a pair of smaller pheasants, like the peacock pheasant and that is all

Would be hard to see them.
Might be hard to regulate the temp, eh?

The pond will be sunk in the ground, I plan on making it as natural as possible
