So, my son brought home some birdseed (parakeet formula) by mistake, and I thought maybe it would make a nice treat for my chickies (7 weeks, but HUGE). They have PLENTY of chick crumbles. I've also given them a bit of oatmeal, and mealworms on occasion. (I think one of the chicks is developing a mealworm addiction......must.......have......mealworms.......). As long as they have plenty of grit, and it's just a small treat, not a big part of the diet, anyone see a problem with that? Thanks!

No problem. I had a rooster get sick and I gave him that to eat just to get him to eat as he wouldn't eat anything. He loved it and it got his energy up and got him eating again and now he is 100% again.
