Birdsfoot Trefoil?

Hey y’all! I have a big patch of birdsfoot trefoil (Lotus corniculatus) growing in my backyard. Seems like it’s a great forage for ruminants but I haven’t found much info about feeding it to chickens. It’s supposed to be 21% protein fresh cut.

Anyone have some experience with it? I’d love to cut a big pile of it and feed it to my pullets.

I think it would be fine for the chickens, but just a bit at a time not 'a big pile of it.'
