birth defect? stomach yoke prolasped

Hi, Today I had an Americana hatch with a large yoke type bump, popping out of his stomach. It looks like a birth defect. Is there any chance his body will resorb the yoke and all will be normal? Thanks

You can try putting it in a ziplock bag with just its head out and a wet paper towel on its stomach. The problem is if the yolk dries out before it absorbs.

Unfortunately, it was much more that yoke and the chick has been put down. The entire stomach had failed to form correctly and it was the intestines popping out.
