Hello! First time chicken owner here! Birthday present from my daughter was 2 wk old 8 buff orpingtons & 2 easter eggers. They are so entertaining, especially since we are all on stay-at-home orders. Didn't realize they grow so fast though...we haven't built a coop for them yet, husband has medical issues. We have a little time before the coop is absolutely necessary. We take them outside each morning to a temporary above ground coop/loft that is screened in, so it's working good right now. So excited to learn all about raising chickens from BackYard Chickens website.

Hello and welcome. I might look into crafting a simple chicken tractor temporarily for your birds while you get a permanent coop in order. A frames and simple rectangular versions seem to work. Google them. Welcome to BYC and enjoy your new flock.
