Raidio: And due to below-zero temps and strong winds, maby schools are closing...
Sophia: Ellie! Marianne! Come listen!
Raidio: Districts 25, 29, 30, and 31, as well as Orpington Academy, will be closed. Streamflow coopschooling co-op, as well as school districts 28 and 24, will announce if they are closed tomorrow moring, or earlier via E-mail.
Sophia: Better check the computer tomorrow!

Dear Students and parents,

Our school will be closed to below-zero temps, and windchill warnings. We will have a make-up session next tuesday, if you cannot attend, there will be tutoring and make-up oppurtunities the follwoing day. Thank you for your flexability,

Buttermilk: She visited us this morning even in her sickly state...
Snap: Are shavings are AWFUL.
Hedwig: It's disgusting...
Hazel: Mommy can't change them since there is snow on the ground!
Omelette: It's gonna be really hard to change after all the snow melts...

Hazel: We're practically laying on WOOD!
Omelette: And to top that off the snow is nowhere near melting, and there is an ice layer on top...
Pippy: I am getting SO sick of the indoors.
Bisquick: TELL me about it...
Snap: Goodness, aren't we just a bunch of complainers--springs coming guys, hang in there.

Olive Tree Organic eggs
The school year shall end in a month, and we will start laying small eggs by late summer. I cannot wait for summer, and have all sorts of plans--try to fly up into the rafters with Pecky, try to escape the run for a few minutes, also with Pecky, try to find rotten eggs with Molly, and try to keep these plans hidden from Susan, who I know would not like it. She and her underdeveloped sense of adventure! Don't ask me what SHE is going to do over the summer. Study? Perhaps. Perhaps I should do some work on the pecking order, if I want to get into the honors pecking order class in the fall. But enough of studying. Studying is not a legitimate use of summer spare time.
Also--the brooders are soon to be gone. Susan's nervous. I am not.
