Selena: I can't cook anything besides bean dip, so I brought that and crackers.
Sunrise: trust me, you do not want to try any of Sally's cookiong--besides the bean dip.

Snap: Haha, well I didn't make 'em. Buttermilk did.
Buttermilk: :3 Well, what I do is a mince up pieces of layer food. Then I grind it-
Bisquick: And I mean grind it.
Buttermilk: Ahem. Then I put mix in some water with the layer food. I keep mixing it. Then it turns to the consistency of peanut butter. After that I put it in tiny cupcake tins put them in the oven for 15 min on 350 and boom!! You've got layer butter cupcakes. :3

Susan: thanks for the recepie! Hey, is anyone else molting?
Selena: Come on, Autumn, Midnite, Auroura, let's go sledding!

Junior: I'm molting!!!
Snap: I am too, but I'm more growing my feathers back in. Juni's still molting.

Sunrise's Diary
Olive Tree Organic eggs

Our first year at the egg farm ends soon, and our second and final year will begin. After that we are distributed to various smaller farms, semi-farms, and backyard coops around the county, and the group in barn C will take our place as the older layers, while the group in barn A will take their place as younger layers, and a new flock will be started in our barn, barn B. At school they had an assembly about it, since almost the entire school is from our farm. 1400 from our farm, and then 50 from the other places--three semi-farms and three backyards. That isn't counting those that left Olive tree after their second year and moved somewhere else in the same school district--those actually make up the chickens a nearby semi-farm and two backyards. There's about 50 of them. That makes 1500 students, and the assembly was pertinent to all but a hundred. Those at the assembly told us about the various places we could go. Apparently, the options are four farms, not egg farms, but smaller farms with cows and horses as well as chickens. There are expected to be about 400 places to fill at those farms. Then there are the dozens of backyards--I think the number they gave was 300? and that accounts for 500 places. And the semi-farms have the last 500 places. Those of us starting our second year were given a preliminary form to fill out about where we wanted to go and who we wanted to go with. I filled out that I wanted to go with Susan,and Autumn to a semi-farm. Semi seems about right to me. Later, they told us in the assembly, we would have to pick out our top ten places and top twenty traveling companions. I am not at all sure if I look forward to this move or not. Oh, well, it will turn out all right. If we get to pick our new home, what could go wrong?
