Selena: AUUGH! I have an essay due for The Pecking Order, and also have to take TWO final tests in that class, have to take a quiz and lay a perfect egg for the art of egglaying, Have to take a timed foraging test and a preadator habitats quiz for Foraging Skills, and take a technique test for Perching and balancing. That's just the core classes--I also have to make a dust and minerals mixture ideal for daily dustbathing, and dissect a feather for feathercare.
Elanor: Youreally shouldn't have procrastinated this long--I've been working on my projects for the past two weeks.

Kyle: Did she seriously just ask what a BIRTHDAY is? *face wing*

Pebble: I GOT OUT THIS MORNING! Mommy forgot to shut the door to the run, so it was open ALL night and I got out at 6:30 this morning!

Me: When I saw the Pebble out, I FREAKED OUT! I thought I had double checked the door and thought it was closed. Thankfully, nothing got in the coop. Pebble was as happy as a clam. It was even scarier because I just had a nightmare that a giant possum had gotten into the chicken coop, *shudder*

Me: Oh no!! There was once a gap in the wire of the run that only Junior could fit through, and she would get out all the time. This one time an old dog chased her-- she outran him! Bisquick was always so jealous of her.

Buttermilk: The chicks are gonna move into our old coop once they're old enough.
Snap: I miss Junior. I wish I was a bantam.
