Midge: Our roost in the coop fell over!
Akira: Now we have nowhere to sit!
Henny: I'm growing in lots of feathers right now. I got chewed up by a fox a few weeks ago, and all of my feathers are short.
Gwynn: We have to shop for school supplies! Midge is taking Basil and me together while the big girls go off on their own!

Dandelion: Midge, we know how you feel! Mommy was cleaning the coop the other day, and the roosts are on hinges so that she can hook them up for cleaning. Well, she forgot to put them down. So when she came to check on us that night, we were all huddled in the corner! Me and lacy still mangaged to get on the roosts. :3 it was funny.

Me: Bluebee - We have never had to fence in our garden before, (even with the deer/rabbits) but this year we had to because our chickens were dragging off the tomatoes and cucumbers.

Me: Seriously? We haven't had the chance to put up a fence this year, but next year, I'm pretty sure we will.

Me: I got three new chicks! Only problem is I haven't named them because I'm not sure if they'll turn out to be hens or roosters... : /
Dandelion: tomatoes are good for you? Me and everybody else eat them all the time!

Freckle: My tummy starts to hurt when I eat them. I really like them though.

Me: Yeah, I'd find cucumber skins 100 feet away from the garden - the chickens only like the flesh, not the skin, so they eat the flesh and leave the skin looking like a canoe!
