Bisquick: Last year, Mommy was cleaning our mirror, and she wet the rag and wiped the mirror and the water was frozen.
Buttermilk: But that was just one week-- the rest of the winter was pretty mild.
Snap: Yeah, but that one week was COLD. It was about 10* F for the whole week... No coming out for us...
Pippy: I wonder what winter will be like....
Omelette: Well it was a bit chilly when I first came home, but that was only March.
Hedwig: It was a bit breezy when I came home too!
Hazel: Pippy and I cuddled and Mommy and Aunt Emily held us in their hands.

Penny: Winter comes after fall, which is right now, and before spring, which you 2 were born at the end of. Winter is very cold and this weird white stuff Mommy calls "snow" falls.

Louise: True, true, but our water has to be hooked up to this silver box so it doesn't freeze.
Audrey: But Louise, in late December Mommy puts pretty red stars (me note: lights) all over our coop.
