Bits of snow coming in through vents

Anything really will work. Some old towels/sheets/rag etc. I had an old tshirt I cut up and used my staple gun to secure it over the vent openings.

That I can do. Or tape? But was worried about covering up all those vents. That leaves them with almost none.

Cloth isn't airtight, remember. So long as you aren't covering the vents with airtight material, there will still be airflow.

Duct tape or packing tape might work, but not scotch or masking tape. Those will fall right off with the cold

Moisture in the coop is a definite problem. It may be ok for the moment but a big storm could cause bigger problems. Baffles! Get some strips of wood to frame the outside of each vent. 2x2’s work really well. Do not frame along the bottom edge. Make the side strips a couple of inches longer at the bottom. Attach a piece of thin plywood to the frame. The idea is that the frame holds the plywood a couple of inches away from the vent allowing air flow. The opening at the bottom lets the air flow downward and no snow or rain gets in. If you want to get really fancy do what I did. Instead of plywood I used a sheet of plexiglass I cut to fit the frame. Now it doubles as a window! If you’re pressed for time do the cloth thing but if possible do it over a frame like this. Once cloth gets wet and freezes it won’t be permeable and probably will freeze to the coop making it hard to replace. But it can be a temporary set up till you can slap up baffles. Good luck

I have strips of old screening material over the hardware cloth on all my vents, it’s not perfect but kinda stops big snowflakes from driving right through!

I'm in southern Missouri and I had the same problem yesterday. Startling amount of snow got inside. I eventually covered openings as best I could while still allowing for some air flow. Closed them up inside. We made it through the -8 night without issue. Good luck.

I've used T-shirt material stapled up. It works well. It cuts the wind, stops the snow.

Furnace filter material works better, but if you don't have it, T-shirts are fine.
