Bittersweet hatch

Well I'm having a bitter sweet hatch moment... Amazingly, it looks like

I'll have 10 babies out of 13 eggs Dipsey Shipped (which is AMAZING, I keep having to pinch myself). Sadly though, the only egg that developed, out of the first batch I set from my bantam cochins, failed to pip. Hearing no movement, I decided to caefully pip the aircell, at which point I could tell the chick was gone. Inside was a perfectly formed splash chick! Grrr.... In the great scheme of things, an amazing hatch, but I can't believe that little splash didn't make it.

It's like a roller coaster, the high of having a great healthy hatch, unfotunately dimmed abit by this little egg I had very high hopes for. Oh well, I don't mean to whine. Well maybe a bit.

Just needed to share before I went off to bed... (Hubby is asleep and didn't want to wake him to vent)

If you are talking about Lisa's eggs, yea they are pretty awsome!
congrats on that hatch!

I am sorry about your other eggs though, but dont worry, that is why we hatch-a-holics keep trying!
Its like a art form..

I know it sucks to know a chick is lost....but there will be more!
