Black australorp cockerel keeps pecking our hands

My wife and I have a 7.5 week old black australorp cockerel that likes to peck our hands when we put the feeder on the ground in the morning. This morning, he pecked my wife's hand so hard it almost drew blood. He's pecked/bitten us several times each. We found someone willing to take the cockerel, but we need to wait another 3 weeks before they are ready for it. Will the rooster teach our other chickens to peck and bite us? If so, then we may need to get rid of him sooner than 3 weeks.

Hi there. The others should be fine and not learn to peck you. In the meantime you can flick him on the chest or thump him with a finger when he does that.
