For 16 weeks I have assumed this Australorp was a pullet. But yesterday, it attacked my ankles while I was carrying their food to the feeder. The feathers don’t look like rooster feathers, however the comb and wattles are significantly bigger and redder than the other Australorp pullet of the same age (who you can also see in the third picture). I thought they were just developing at different rates, until the one attacked me. Does anyone have any ideas on whether this is a roo or not?

That is a pullet. She is just gettung closer to laying than the other pullet. Some hens have an attitude as well.

By this age, a rooster would've crowed and grown saddle feathers.
Not necessarily on the crowing. I had one that didn’t crow until 7 months old.

By my black Australorps, I'd say she's a pullet and getting closer to lay. I have some photos of our roos last year if you need some reference.

Maybe you had a bug on you? Our BAs are more standoffish than our others, they come up to us, but whereas our light brahmas like to be touched, they do not lol
