Hello! We recently got two new black australorp chicks. We're thinking they are around 2.5 weeks old. As they are growing, I've been thinking that one may be male and the other female. I know it's still a little early to tell for sure, but could some of you give your opinions as well since we are still pretty new to raising chickens? The one that I think might be a male is the one on the left of the pictures. Both chicks started at around the same size, but now this one is much larger. The possible male also has a more noticeable comb than the other one, and still lacks any noticeable tail feathers, whereas the smaller one already has some small tail feathers. It's still a bit early, so there's no coloration to the comb yet, but here is what I have to offer for pictures. Thank you for any information you can provide!
