Hi and welcome! What a nice coop and lovely family! We also have Black Australorps for the first time this year. Ours are about 14 weeks old, I think, so we're hoping to get our first eggs sometime soon. Sixteen weeks is early, but possible, lol! We really like these guys, which is saying a lot, as we have always been very partial to our Easter Eggers! The BA just seem very calm and laid-back, even more than the EE! They come running for their afternoon scratch grains as soon as they see me. And there's not a lot of fussing among the cockerels (amazing!)! Enjoy your birds, and your time here. We'll help you all we can!

Welcome! You made a good choice on breed. Australorps are wonderful! I have 7. I love their personalities and their gentle nature. Enjoy your flock!
