hello,

I have 2 black australorps that are 8 weeks old tomorrow. They look totally different so I’m thinking one is a male. One of my chickens (I have 7) was making a strange clucking noise this morning (super loud, never heard it before) but wasn’t able to tell which one because they were all in the coop. I don’t want to get rid of the one if it’s a female as I know the females also have combs and wattles but the one is bigger and comb and wattle more red and pronounced. What do you all think? The one has to be a rooster since they are the same age right? It’s the 2 black ones in the back of the picture.

In my opinion, yes, I think the Australorp in the front is a roo, but I'm not very experienced with these things so I could be wrong.
