Honestly though. My hens have all been through alot with my friend dying and owl attacks at previous homes etc…. But I’d never trade them for the world! My duck drake is such a helpful addition to our flock. He’s a Swedish blue and he stands guard all night outside our coop. (The ducks don’t like to be cooped up in our experience) .

Not at all! They all stand guard and quack loudly at our bedroom windows when possums and raccoons enter the yard! We have killed 3 raccoons and four possums in one month with his help! His name is pipsqueak and I’m thinking he needs a better name.

Raccons and possums are also a threat where I live. A mother possom and her babies were run over the side of the road a few days ago. We gave them a burial yesterday
