Hi there. I know there’s a ton of crossebird information but I can’t seem to find the mix that I’m looking for.
I’m wondering what a chick and subsequent adult would look like from my clutch that’s hatching right now. I have no idea which eggs are which but I have a black australorp roo and two Delaware hens and a Cochin hen. (The Cochin is the broody but she was stealing others eggs to sit on).
would I be able to tell which are which once hatched? The two chicks that have hatched so far are all black with a very faint white dot on top of of their heads.
And although it’s been explained to me before I’m not sure. Would these chicks be considered sex linked? And just for curiosity does anyone have any pictures of the above crosses just to see what I could possibly expect?
Thank you in advanced.

The hens are blue Cochin and the Delaware’s are white with a few black feathers. We had the Cochin hatch out a roo awhile back and its coloring looked completely different then these ones. No feathers on these feet so far.

The chicks so far are males.

Thanks for the information. Now at least I’ll know if I get a girl or not! Just curious still if anyone has any pictures of adults of these crosses and what they may look like?
