We have quite a few Black Australorp chicks this year.
Last year we bought already sexed chicks but this year we decided on straight run babies.....
Well we thought it was a good idea at the time but are not sure now how to tell the difference in gender.
They are a few months old now and we would like to separate hens and roos.
Can someone please tell me how to know the difference at this age??
Thanks

Astrolorps are very difficult to sex at that age. Some appear definate roos but most are maybes. Too early for saddle feather sexing too.
