I got some chicks from Murdoch's in Salida Colorado, they're supposed to be black australorps. But they're turning awfully White

I was also thinking Brahma, but I was going to say a dark. Then again, I've not had either variety as chicks, so I'm not sure how they'd feather out. But I'm pretty sure it's one or the other.

Not Dark Brahma...Dark Brahma chicks have reddish back with 2 white stripes going down the back...Light Brahma look like this chick (assuming pea comb).

It is possibly a Cochin...but I don't think legs are feathered enough for Cochin...but if it has a single comb, then Cochin is my next guess.

But we all agree...definitely not an Australorp.

Thanks Lady, for the description.

They're so funky looking at this stage, I'm surprised any of us can tell what they are
