Black Australorp?

You can tell when they start getting to be around 4 months old for sure by looking at their hackle feathers, if they are rounded they are hens and pointed are cockerels. You may also be able to tell by the tail shape when they are younger the more poofy round tails are usually cocks and the pointed and hard tails are usually hens

Little rooster's legs are bigger than little hen's legs.Little roosters combs and wattles get bigger faster. The white chicken in the picture is a cockerel.(baby rooster) The gray one is a hen.

ISAs are sexable from hatch as the males will be white and females will have reddish brown down. They're sexlinks.

With the Australorps you'll need to wait for the combs to change to red and grow (males sprout early, females don't until they're nearing laying age) or the rooster feathers if the comb difference isn't clear enough.

How old are your's right now? Since you said that you are almost positive that your ISA's are hen's, then I am thinking that they are at least fully feathered by now? If so, then it could help to show pictures of them here so that other's could help you with the sexing of them.

A friend of mine said the ISA Brown cockerel would be mostly white but didn’t know about australorp, I will try to get a better picture of them this evening

Aw, they're so cute! Both of the ISAs would be female (don't worry over one being lighter than the other -- males are white-white even in down). The Australorps you have several weeks to wait. Were they sold straight run or as pullets?

Not sure and the lady at the feed store knew less about chickens than I do (which is nothing) the sign on them wasn’t even attached to them it was laying on the shelf above them and honestly I didn’t pay that much attention to it- my mistake but live and learn

I will second the aaawwww!

The male Australorp are usually pretty clear by 8 weeks.

A pic of my group and if you look at the combs the oopster is pretty clear. They were about 10 weeks here.
